
Venevisión
Venevision, one of Venezuela´s main open air channels (part of the Cisneros Group) has started a new initiative to distribute its content on the web. The web distribution unit needs to be profitable in the short term and position Venevision as a leading digital content provider in the region.
The web distribution unit needs to innovate and incorporate web2.0 models to increase user engagement, like citizen journalism, where ordinary citizens could capture current happenings around the country through their mobile phones and cameras.

Venevision fulfilled these needs by working together with Wealltv and integrating a video platform on their website which constantly broadcasts current news clips as well as individual uploads carried out by field reporters and citizens. This device boosted a viral effect on the net and created a multimedia community where people could become “followers” of other registered user or of the news content according to topic, hence creating a channel of personalized information. In addition to the viral community effect in Venevision´s URL, their digital content is also available in all major social networks, allowing for the growth of their audience.
Wealltv worked, in alliance with Venevision, in defining the content strategy, community features and advertising model that needed to be used in order to make a profitable solution for this TV channel.
Currently, Venevision is including their entertainment content into new digital channels through Wealltv, striving thus to create new viral multimedia communities to increase revenues and brand value.
Somos Tú y Yo: Un Nuevo Día
The successful youth musical-series of Venevision has returned to the small screen to the delight of his (its fans) fans with new stories and episodes. However the tv channel, always motivated to deliver the best to his audience, this time bet on the transmission of the series not only through television but also through the web, thereby creating a place in the network where the general public and fans could relive the best of each chapter, watch behind the scenes, enjoy videos, pictures and content of their favorite characters.
To reach the goal, Wealltv provided the videos platform, which was installed in the mini site of the series thus allowing the transmission and distribution of content, videos, contests, images and more.
This not only succeeded in increasing the number of visits and the number of registered fans, also managed to harness the power of the platform Wealltv and viral Internet as a means to distribute and share content on a massive and immediatly through email and social networks to very low costs.
The Wealltv video player is also available in other transmissions of Venevision as a means of support to the content offered on the screen, since placed interviews, photos and more.
